I am not now, but I have been in the past a REALLY HARDCORE STRONG Leonardo DiCaprio person.  Hold on, I’m going to call my parents right now.

Yeah, so I asked my father what he remembers my big obsessions were, and this is pretty much exactly what he said, in the order he said it:

• Swan Lake

• Angel
• that animation show, I want to say Butterfly - oh, yes, Sailor Moon, SAILOR MOON!!!!!
• David Duchovny and the alien show - “X-Files”
• Didn’t you have a thing for Orlando Bloom?
• Leonardo DiCaprio, Romeo + Juliet (after MUCH prompting)

My point is, this picture is great and I love it.

i feel so validated in my FOREVER LOVE OF HIM

So in this movie, Leonardo DiCaprio, Chris Pine, and Nicholas Hoult play three brothers.  Leonardo DiCaprio is the oldest, he’s been taking care of his brothers since their parents died in a car accident when he was 15 and Chris Pine was 10 and Nicholas Hoult was essentially a fetus, but now they’ve got to take care of him because he has bone cancer and he needs a marrow transplant and both Chris Pine and Nicholas Hoult get tested and Chris is a match but there’s some kind of problem with him donating and Nicholas isn’t a match, and they don’t know why and they do genetic tests and it turns out that Nicholas isn’t actually related to Leonardo and Chris, and it freaks everyone out at a time when they’re already freaking out about Leonardo’s bone cancer, and it especially freaks Chris out because there’s always been a strange frisson of something he has always been hesitant to classify as sexual tension between him and Nicholas, and now Nicholas is so sad and confused, and Leonardo is so sick and so hurt/angry at their dead parents, and Chris is so horrified at himself/relieved they’re not related/scared for Leonardo/scared for Nicholas/scared for himself.  There are affectionate and amusing flashbacks to when they were all younger, both from before the parents died and after, and there is some KISSING before the resolution comes around.

and that is the movie.
